Sequin was shown as a" weanling filly" and won her classes in Welsh Pony sanctioned classes . Her sire was a working stallion also called to duty for farm labor. He was sired by Bengad Dombeya, well known locally, imported from Wales who was a "real firecracker". She inherited his spunk, as most of his get and grandget have. Her dam was a magnificent example of proper section "A" welsh mountain pony standards. Her dam was the other half of the driving pair along with Golden Garter's dam. They were perfectly matched white/grey ponies. I showed Juniper at Broodmare Halter twice. She handily won both classes which were large classes.
